We've done well to get brand new police stations at Morisset and Toronto, but I've been campaigning for better police numbers and to get Morisset station opened 24/7. Given the population increases in the area, particularly around Cooranbong, Wyee, Morisset Park and Bonnells Bay, I've been pushing for 20 additional officers to be added to the Lake Macquarie police district.
Greg Piper has been an independent voice for the people of Lake Macquarie for more than 30 years, as a Member of Parliament, Mayor and councillor. He was elected to Lake Macquarie council in 1991, served as Mayor from 2004 until 2012 and has been the State MP for Lake Macquarie since 2007.
