Strong winds are blowing our way
31st May 2022
The good news is that the rain has gone, for now, but the Bureau of Meteorology has issued a strong wind warning for our district.
NSW SES Lake Macquarie Unit had 69 calls for assistance when the storm blew quickly through the region last night and they're still responding to some of those incidents. I thank all of those volunteers who responded.
The winds are expected to strengthen this afternoon and tomorrow so please be mindful of that.
If you need assistance, call the SES on 132-500 or follow the Facebook pages for updates at NSW SES Cooranbong Unit, NSW SES Lake Macquarie Unit or NSW SES Swansea - Catherine Hill Bay Unit.
