¿ SYDNEY TRAVEL BAN EXTENDED: The Government has announced that the ban on non-essential travel between the regions and Greater Sydney (inc the Central Coast) will be extended to November 1. The ban was due to be lifted for fully vaccinated people when the State's vax rate hit 80%, but there has been concern that the rates in many regional areas are well below that. I know that ban is quite distressing to many locals who have family on the Central Coast and in Sydney, but I'm afraid we're going to be waiting a few weeks longer. It's tough for us living on that border, but I also know there are many others happy to keep the Sydneysiders away for a few more weeks until our full vaccination rates catch up. Double vaxed people can still travel region to region.

¿ WALK-IN VAX CLINIC FOR EDUCATORS: Hunter Health will host a walk-in vax clinic at the Belmont hub this Sunday for workers across all education sectors including early childhood, pre-school, school, VET and university. No appointments necessary, just walk in between 8am to 2.45pm. Wear a mask, bring evidence of your workplace and a form of ID.
