Land and Land Mural adorns Simply Pharmacy
14th April 2026
The finishing touches were put on an absolutely amazing artwork adorning the length (and then some) of Simply Pharmacy Toronto today.
Sam Zoghbi and his team sponsored the artwork in collaboration with Joanna Rees and the Toronto Sustainable Neighbourhood Group.
Masterfully created by local artists Maree Simon Les Ahoy, Jason Mackenzie and Lacey Simon, the work titled 'Lake and Land Mural' pays tribute to all who work and live in the Westlakes community. It is full of symbolism, highlighting our area's rich history, strong community, families and the business community.
The Awabakal People are recognised with soaring eagles, while turtles have been painted in reference to the wellbeing of the land and lake, and also represent endurance and resilience of our community.
This corridor has an unfortunate history of being vandalised by graffiti, it's hoped this extraordinary artwork will breathe new life into the area, inspiring pride and appreciation from all who are lucky enough to view it.
Well done to everyone involved in the creation of 'Lake and Land'.
