Open Hearts, Open Homes

Around 17,000 children are in foster or out of home care across New South Wales, supported by 12,500 carer households. While we undoubtedly need more foster carers and homes, I would like to acknowledge and thank the foster families that are currently caring for children during a time when they desperately need stability, kindness and help

It was great to join Minister for Families and Communities Kate Washington MP to meet with members from Open Hearts, Open Homes, and learn who this coalition of faith-based agencies are working to support both carers and the children they look after.
