NSW Budget 2025-26 - Lake Macquarie Highlights

 

$5 million in additional funding for Speers Point roundabout upgrade, increasing total project funding to $16 million.

$2 million for continued development of the $76 million Mandalong Road upgrade.

$3.8 million for social housing, including new supply for the Modular Homes pilot and upgrades to existing social housing stock.

$40 million confirmed for the Morisset Sports Facility project, with $700,000 allocated in the coming year.

While there are many local projects needing funding, this years budget aims to address State-wide issues and deliver essential dollars to housing, jobs, hospitals, trade skills, education, transport, justice and policing.

With expected growth in Lake Macquarie, and State Government policies to increase housing opportunity in our region, it is imperative our local infrastructure is maintained to support our population.

I will continue to lobby Ministers on local matters. I urge the NSW Government to invest in Lake Macquarie to prepare and futureproof our communities if they expect our region to support housing targets.
