Boolaroo School Visit

This morning I popped into Boolaroo Public School to visit Miss McCaw and her year 5/6 class.

Earlier this year I received letters from the students as a part of their persuasive writing exercise, seeking a review of pedestrian access and safety along TC Frith Ave and at the Main Road roundabout Boolaroo. The letters were sent to the Minister for Regional Roads and Transport Jenny Aitchison MP to express their concerns on behalf of their community.

It was a very proud moment to present the Minister's response to them this morning. Watching our future leaders and change-makers see the value in grass roots community action and a well written letter was inspiring to see.

 I even got asked for an autograph! (sorry to Kynan's Mum for writing on his shirt with marker).
