Origin offering $5m in community grants

Origin Energy’s $5m Eraring Community Investment Fund!

The first of two annual rounds of applications from eligible community groups and initiatives is now open. Applications close 18 June 2023.

The Fund will invest $5 million between 2023-2032 with a focus on the Lake Macquarie LGA, particularly those communities surrounding the Eraring Power Station.

Projects that directly support communities affected by the future closure of Eraring will be supported. Consideration will be prioritised based on sustainability and enduring community benefit.

Through community Consultation, Origin have identified four key areas for support:

• Community well-being

• Community resilience

• Economic transition and diversification

• Environmental protection and outdoor amenity

Each annual funding round will include three investment categories:

Sponsorships up to $10,000

Grants between $10,000 - $50,000

Partnership Projects up to $100,000
