Protecting our kids is everyone's business
18th March 2023
Throughout March, Toronto business owners and staff are donning orange ribbons to promote Lake Macquarie charity Hearts and Hands Community Development and their message that protecting children is everyone's business.
Hearts and Hands founder @Astrid Hocking aims to make Lake Macquarie the state's leading destination for child protection with her main message that "it's not ok to hurt a child".
Volunteers of the Umbrella Hearts project have spent countless hours making these orange ribbons available from many Toronto businesses, so why not pick one up in support of a great cause?
It was wonderful to meet some of the group's 30 volunteers today, namely Bob Gibbons, Marilyn Gibbons, Hazel Radford, Astrid Hocking, Elizabeth Macpherson and Arthur Radford. They all do a fantastic job!
