Bolton Point tennis club serves up an ace

It was wonderful to join with members of the Bolton Point Tennis Club this afternoon for the official opening of the club's newly resurfaced tennis courts.

I love to support tennis. It's one of those sports that people of all ages and abilities can come together to enjoy a social game.

So many tennis clubs have folded over the years so it's great to see this club doing so well with its 72 members ranging in age from six to 85 years.

The NSW Office of Responsible Gambling provided $57,970 in funding towards the cost of the courts' new surface, with Lake Macquarie City Council contributing $2200.
