Have your say on planned sport and rec hub
22nd November 2022
Some big news (finally!) on the new sport and recreation hub planned for Morisset and an update on the former site at Myuna Bay.
The NSW Office of Sport has today opened an online community survey and invited everyone to have their say on the types of facilities they'd like to see included there. This information will be used by specialist consultants to put together an initial design.
Please don't leave your thoughts in the comments section here, click through on the link below and make your voice count. The survey will only take a couple of minutes and is open until December 22.
As you'd remember, the new centre is planned for a site which sits roughly between Morisset Hospital and Bonnells Bay Public School.
YOU CAN ACCESS THE SURVEY HERE.
For those who have asked me about the former site at Myuna Bay, the Office of Sport will soon submit a development application to demolish the former centre and revegetate the site to its original condition. The office first had to engage with NSW Public Works which recently undertook an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment on the Myuna site. That process has now been completed and the report will form part of the application. Will keep you updated on that process too.
