WEEKLY COVID UPDATE - Sept 15, Lake MacquarieThe good news is that case numbers have fallen quite significantly over the past week, both locally and statewide. Hopefully that translates into a fall in death and hospitalisation numbers in coming weeks. Lives lost in Hunter Health district in past week: 21 (Same as previous week) Lives lost in Hunter Health district since start of pandemic: 489 (Up 21 on previous week) Lives lost in NSW since start of pandemic: 5148 (Up 122 on previous week) New cases in Hunter Health district in past week: 2391 (Down 963 on previous week) New cases in NSW: 18,014 (Down 7358 on previous week) Hospitalisations in the Hunter this week: 36 (Down 11 on previous week) Admitted to ICU in the Hunter this week: 6 (Same as previous week) See NSW Health's full weekly report HERE.
