Heavy rain on its way

So, you'll be thrilled to know that we could see more than 200mm of rain in the local area over the next week, with most of it coming between tomorrow and Monday.
On the upside, the bees won't be travelling too far and will prefer to stay rugged up in their hives.
The following advice has been issued this afternoon by NSW SES Lake Macquarie Unit and NSW SES Cooranbong Unit. Please take note of it.
ADVICE TO LAKE MACQUARIE RESIDENTS
With the forecasted weather over the next week ahead, we are asking that the community takes the necessary steps to prepare themselves and their properties for the heavy rain that is coming.

Make sure to check the weather before you travel
Enjoy the school holidays, safe travels and never drive, walk or ride in flood water.
We also ask the community to remain vigilant in minimising and reporting damage.
Ensure all outdoor furniture and equipment is secured.
Avoid parking your vehicles under trees.
Report all instances of powerlines down or arching immediately to Ausgrid on 13 13 88.
