Cycling Without Age and Novacare Community Services have expanded their service into Lake Macquarie. Volunteers will begin piloting these trio-bikes around our shores, giving senior citizens the chance to get out and about in the community in comfort and style. The trio-bikes were largely funded through the NSW Government's Community Building Partnership grants, jointly provided by myself, Member for Charlestown Jodie Harrison MP and Member for Swansea Yasmin Catley MP. This project is also being done in partnership with Lake Macquarie City Council
Also The Salvation Army Australia have opened a Community of Hope shop in Toronto, where people experiencing homelessness can drop in for a shower, wash their clothes and access welfare support and financial counselling.
