¿ I know there's a lot going on at the moment but I wanted to give you a quick update on the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill. a quick update on the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill.
¿ The Bill was introduced to the Upper House (Legislative Council) on Wednesday and debate will start on March 23.
¿ Last week, a petition from more than 100,000 supporters of the Bill was tabled in the Upper House.
¿ We need your support with a new petition, though, which has already been signed by 18,000 people.
¿ The ePetition has been created by Bertie and Darcie Daniels who are pictured below with their father Lawrie. Lawrie suffered with MS but sadly took his own life in 2016. Bertie and Darcie, now 21 and 16, are adamant that if these laws were in place in 2016, they would have enjoyed many more years with their Dad who would not have taken matters into his own hands.
