Unfortunately, the Hunter Region has recorded the highest rate of new infections in the State every day for a fortnight. Please remember to use some common sense when out and about. The good news is

¿ Unfortunately, the Hunter Region has recorded the highest rate of new infections in the State every day for a fortnight. Please remember to use some common sense when out and about. The good news is that our hospitalisation rates remain low, but there is still a lot of Covid-19 in our local communities and we should be doing our best to get those numbers lower.
¿ MASK RULES IN SCHOOLS: The mask rules in schools change from tomorrow. Full details on those rules HERE.
 
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 21 (up 1 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 3 (stable)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 1146 (up 16 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 58 (down 1 on the previous day, 21 on ventilation)
¿ New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 797 (down 159 on previous day's figure, 267 PCR + 530 RAT).
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 6014 (down 1003 on the previous day, 2198 PCR + 3816 RAT)
¿ New cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks: 2955 (Down 163 on previous day).
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 7 (down 4 on the previous day). This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1897 (in Australia 5156).
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 1 (a man in his 60s from the Newcastle LGA. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.)

¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.8% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.3% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 53.9% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine*
- 83.6% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 79.1% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 47.3% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
