The latest data is showing that the Hunter Region has recorded the highest rate of new cases in the State for the second consecutive day. Hospitalisation and ICU numbers are still stable or falling, and that is the main thing, but the data shows

¿ The latest data is showing that the Hunter Region has recorded the highest rate of new cases in the State for the second consecutive day. Hospitalisation and ICU numbers are still stable or falling, and that is the main thing, but the data shows that we still have a lot of transmission in the community and there is a danger in complacency. There aren't many rules to comply with, but if you're out and about please remember to use a little common sense and stay safe.
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 43 (up 2 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 2 (down 1 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 1716 (down 79 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 108 (down 13 on previous day, 48 on ventilation)
¿ New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 1378 (down 264 on previous day's figure. 537 PCR + 841 RAT).
¿ Covid cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks 5661 (down 267 on previous day's figure).
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 8950 (down 1180 on the previous day, PCR 3661 + 5289 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 19 (five less than yesterday). This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1661 (in Australia 4477).
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 1 (a man in his 70s from Muswellbrook LGA). My sincere condolences go to his family and friends.)

¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.6% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.1% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 46.5% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.5% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.8% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 44.6% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
