Sad to report that NSW Health has recorded another 52 lives lost in the past 24 hours in NSW. This continues the unfortunate spike in deaths which was expected following the recent Omicron wave. This brings the

¿ Sad to report that NSW Health has recorded another 52 lives lost in the past 24 hours in NSW. This continues the unfortunate spike in deaths which was expected following the recent Omicron wave. This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1368.
¿ Unfortunately, 2 of those 52 lives were lost in Lake Macquarie - one woman and one man, aged in their 70s and 80s. My sincere condolences go out to their families and friends.
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 70 (up 5 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 7 (up 1 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2663 (down 30 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 182 (down 4 since yesterday, 73 on ventilation)
¿ New cases in Hunter Health district since yesterday: 1529 (down 191 since yesterday, 767 PCR and 762 RAT)
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 13,524 (up 170 on the previous day, PCR 7492 + 6032 RAT)
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.4% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 38.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.2% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.5% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 37.4% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
