¿ COVID UPDATE - 11.15pm, FRIDAY JANUARY 28
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 60 (up 5 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 7 (same as yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2737 (up 15 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 189 (up 8 since yesterday)
¿ New cases in Hunter Health district since yesterday: 1357, down 691 on previous day (430 PCR and 927 RAT)
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 13,333 (down 3983 on the previous day, PCR 6256 + 7077 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district in the past 24 hours: 3 (Three men, one was aged in his 70s, one was in his 80s and one was in his 90s. Two were from Lake Macquarie LGA and one was from Maitland LGA. My sincere condolences go out to their families and friends.)
¿ Lives lost statewide in the past 24 hours: 35 (up 6 on previous day, but the majority of these deaths occurred across 14 aged care homes earlier this month).
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.4% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.9% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 36.4% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine*
- 82.9% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.3% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 33.4% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
