COVID UPDATE - 11.30am, WEDNESDAY JANUARY 26
Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 64 (down 17 since yesterday)
Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 7 (same as yesterday)
Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2794 (down 149 since yesterday)
Covid patients in NSW ICU: 175 (down 8 since yesterday)
New cases in Hunter Health district since yesterday: 2557, up 690 on previous day (1566 PCR and 991 RAT)
New cases statewide since yesterday: 18,512 (up 2518 on the previous day, PCR 12,918 + 8112 RAT)
Lives lost in the Hunter Health district in the past 24 hours: 2 (two women, both were in their 80s. One was from Mid Coast LGA, and one was from Tamworth Regional LGA. My sincere condolences go out to their families and friends.)
Lives lost statewide in the past 24 hours: 29 (same as previous day).
STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.3% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.9% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 35.1% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine*
- 82.8% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.3% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 31% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
