COVID UPDATE - 11.30am, SUNDAY JANUARY 23
Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 94 (up 2 since yesterday)
Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 5 (down 1 since yesterday)
Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2712 (down 50 since yesterday)
Covid patients in NSW ICU: 189 (down 15 since yesterday)
New cases in Hunter Health district since yesterday: 1825 down 423 previous day (1110 PCR and 715 RAT)
New cases statewide since yesterday: 20,324 (PCR 13,620 + 6704 RAT)
Lives lost in the Hunter Health district in the past 24 hours: 4. One man was in his 70s, two me. were aged in their 80s, and one man was aged in his 90s. Two are from Newcastle LGA, one is from Mid-Coast LGA, and one is from Port Stephens LGA. My sincere condolences go out to their families and friends
Lives lost statewide in the past 24 hours: 34 (up 4 on the previous day).
STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.3% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.9% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 32.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine*
- 82.7% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.4% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 26.5% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
