The Premier has today announced that the current COVID-19 restrictions in NSW will continue until February 28 while the State focuses on getting children back in schools and resuming non-urgent elective surgery in mid-February. Those restrictions mostly

¿ The Premier has today announced that the current COVID-19 restrictions in NSW will continue until February 28 while the State focuses on getting children back in schools and resuming non-urgent elective surgery in mid-February. Those restrictions mostly relate to the wearing of masks indoors (except residential), QR check-ins, and the restrictions on singing and dancing and capacity limits in pubs, nightclubs and other hospitality venues. ¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 81 (down 11 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 7 (up 2 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2943 (up 127 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 183 (down 13 since yesterday)
¿ New cases in Hunter Health district since yesterday: 1867, up 355 on previous day (759 PCR and 1108 RAT)
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 18,512 (PCR 9422 + 9090 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district in the past 24 hours: 1. (A man in his 80s from the Tamworth LGA. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.)
¿ Lives lost statewide in the past 24 hours: 29 (up 5 on the previous day).
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.3% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.9% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 33.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine*
- 82.7% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.3% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 28.7% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
