¿ COVID UPDATE - 11.20am, TUESDAY JANUARY 18
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 108 (down 3 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 7 (down 1 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2850 (up 74 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 209 (up 6 since yesterday)
¿ New cases in Hunter Health district since yesterday: 2397 (1035 PCR and 1362 RAT)
¿ Total number of cases in the Hunter over the past four weeks: 43,684 (PCR and RAT, up 715 on the previous day)
¿ Total number of cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks: 10,106 (PCR only, up 15 on previous day)
¿ Total number of tests in the Hunter over the past four weeks: 200,561 (down 30,066 on previous day's figure)
¿ Total number of tests in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks: 46,999 (down 9650 on previous day's figure)
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 29,830 (PCR + RAT)
¿ Lives lost statewide in past 24 hours: 36 (19 more than yesterday)
¿ Lives lost in Hunter Health district in past 24 hours: 4 (All men. Three were aged in their 80s and one in their 90s. One was from the Lake Macquarie LGA, one was from the Newcastle LGA, one was from the Mid Coast LGA and one was from the Tamworth Regional LGA. My condolences to all of their families and friends.)
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.2% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.8% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 26.5% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine*
- 82.1% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.3% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 13.9% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
