Covid update - Saturday
15th January 2022
COVID UPDATE - 11.15am, SATURDAY JANUARY 15
Please be aware that Hunter-New England Health is no longer providing a daily breakdown of new cases by LGA. With the centralisation of rapid antigen reporting at a state level, our local case numbers are no longer an accurate reflection of COVID-19 across the local region.
Hospitalisation, ICU numbers and other important public health messages WILL STILL BE ISSUED DAILY and I will continue to post them (below). LGA breakdowns are still available HERE.
I know that news will upset some people but we have to understand the workload that Health staff have at the moment. I personally want to thank Hunter Health staff for what they have provided to this point, and for what they will continue to provide under extreme circumstances.
So here's the latest information which I can continue to compile daily:
Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 116 (up 7 since yesterday)
