COVID UPDATE - FRIDAY DECEMBER 3 Just 1 new case in Lake Macquarie today. Lower Hunter: 4 new cases Hunter health district: 7 new cases. Statewide: 337 new cases which is the biggest jump in more than six weeks. Of the new cases in the health district:
2 are from Newcastle LGA- 2 from North Lambton
1 is from Lake Macquarie LGA- 1 from Cardiff
1 is from Singleton LGA- 1 from Singleton

3 are from Mid Coast LGA- 1 from Cedar Party
- 1 from Old Bar
- 1 from Wingham
- 2 of the total active cases are currently being cared for in ICU.
- 2 cases are linked and 5 are unlinked.
- 6 were infectious in the community and 1 was isolating while infectious.
STATEWIDE- 94.6% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 92.6% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 81.3% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 76.9% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
Over the past 24 hours:
- 80,930 tests
- 337 total new cases
- 140 people in hospital
- 25 people in ICU
- 0 deaths
