COVID UPDATE - THURSDAY NOVEMBER 25
Lake Macquarie: 11 new cases. (Again, almost all of these cases are linked to a school outbreak which is contained)
Hunter Region: 20 new cases.
Hunter health district: 36 new cases.
Statewide: 276 new cases.
OF THE NEW LOCAL CASES:
11 are from Lake Macquarie LGA
- 5 from Cardiff
- 5 from Macquarie Hills
- 1 from Barnsley
7 are from Moree Plains LGA
- 7 from Moree
6 are from Newcastle LGA
- 2 from Hamilton
- 1 from Jesmond
- 1 from Merewether
- 1 from Newcastle
- 1 from North Lambton
4 are from Mid Coast LGA
- 2 from Taree
- 1 from Harrington
- 1 from Wingham
3 are from Inverell LGA
- 3 from Inverell
2 are from Port Stephens LGA
- 1 from Corlette
- 1 from Shoal Bay
1 is from Tamworth LGA
- 1 from Tamworth
1 is from Cessnock LGA
- 1 from Kurri Kurri
1 is from Gwydir LGA
- 1 from Warialda
- 9 of the total active cases are currently being cared for in hospital. 2 are currently in ICU.
- 25 cases are linked and 4 are unlinked and 7 are under investigation.
- 16 were infectious in the community and 13 were isolating while infectious. 7 are under investigation.
STATEWIDE:
- 94.4% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 92.1% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 81.1% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 75.9% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 74,926 tests
- 276 total new cases
- 191 people in hospital
- 31 people in ICU
- 0 deaths
