¿ 27 NEW LOCAL CASES IN HUNTER REGION
¿ 62 in HNE HEALTH DISTRICT
¿ There were 222 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, with 62 of those in the Hunter-New England Area Health District. Of those, however, just 27 are in the Hunter Region with 7 in Lake Macquarie.
¿ OF THE NEW LOCAL CASES IN THE HEALTH DISTRICT:
¿ 11 are from Cessnock LGA
- 7 from Cessnock
- 3 from Abermain
- 1 from Weston
¿ 7 are from Lake Macquarie LGA
- 2 from Cameron Park
- 2 from Jewells
- 1 from Brightwaters
- 1 from Buttaba
- 1 from Toronto
¿ 5 are from Newcastle LGA
- 1 from Fletcher
- 1 from Hamilton
- 1 from Mayfield
- 1 from Sandgate
- 1 from Wallsend
¿ 2 are from Maitland LGA
- 2 from Chisholm
¿ 1 is from Port Stephens LGA
- 1 from Boat Harbour
¿ 1 is from Singleton LGA

¿ 20 of the total active cases are currently being
cared for in hospital. 3 are currently in ICU.
¿ 48 cases are linked, 10 are unlinked, 4 are still
under investigation.
¿ 25 were infectious in the community. 33 were
isolating while infectious. 4 are still under
investigation.
¿ STATEWIDE:
- 93.9% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 89.9% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
Over the past 24 hours:
- 66,680 tests
- 222 new locally acquired cases
- 1 new overseas acquired case
- 1 new interstate acquired case
- 224 total new cases
- 254 people in hospital
- 42 people in ICU
- 4 deaths
