COVID UPDATE - THURSDAY NOVEMBER 4
103 NEW LOCAL CASES
There were 309 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, with 103 of those in the Hunter-New England health district. It should be noted, though, that the bulk of those new cases are not in the Lower Hunter Region, with just 9 new cases in the Lake Macquarie LGA and 4 in Newcastle. The other good news is that local hospitalisation numbers have again dropped - we now have just 14 people in hospital with four of those in ICU, so the vaccines are doing their job.

STATEWIDE:
- 93.7% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 88.7% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
Over the past 24 hours:
- 94,661 tests
- 308 new locally acquired cases
- 1 new overseas acquired cases
- 309 total new cases
- 302 people in hospital
- 64 people in ICU
- 4 deaths
