¿ There were just 177 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, with 33 of those in the Hunter-New England health district and 11 in the Lake Macquarie LGA.
¿ OF THOSE NEW LOCAL CASES:
¿ 11 are from Lake Macquarie LGA
- 4 from Jewells
- 2 from Blacksmiths
- 1 from Belmont North
- 1 from Cardiff
- 1 from Speers Point
- 1 from Warners Bay
- 1 from Windale
¿ 6 are from Newcastle LGA
- 2 from North Lambton
- 1 from Mayfield
- 1 from Maryland
- 1 from Islington
- 1 from Elermore Vale
¿ 5 are from Maitland LGA
- 3 from Gillieston Heights
- 2 from East Maitland
¿ 5 are from Cessnock LGA
- 2 from Cessnock
- 1 from Greta
- 1 from Heddon Greta
- 1 from Kurri Kurri
¿ 4 are from Port Stephens LGA

¿ 21 of the total active cases are currently being cared for in hospital. 4 are currently in ICU.
¿ 21 cases are linked, 10 are unlinked, 2 are still under investigation.
¿ 24 were infectious in the community. 7 were isolating while infectious. 2 are still under investigation.
¿ STATEWIDE:
- 93.5% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 87.5% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
In the past 24 hours:
- 75,378 tests
- 177 new locally acquired cases
- 1 new overseas acquired cases
- 340 people in hospital
- 78 people in ICU
- 1 death
¿ FAQs FOR PARENTS WITH ISOLATING CHILDREN: NSW Health has released an easy-to-follow fact sheet for parents and carers who need to isolate with a child who has been a close contact of someone with the Covid-19 virus. Full details on my website HERE.
¿ FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR PARENTS/CARERS WHO LOSE WORK DUE TO ISOLATION REQUIREMENTS: The Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment is for people living in New South Wales who can't earn an income because they must self-isolate, quarantine or care for someone who has COVID-19. ¿ REGIONAL-SYDNEY TRAVEL: The rule which currently restricts travel between Greater Sydney (inc the Central Coast) will be lifted tomorrow (Nov 1) for fully vaccinated people. From 12.01am tonight, fully vaccinated people will be allowed to travel anywhere in NSW.
¿ WALK-IN VACCINATION CLINIC: HNE Health is holding a walk-in vaccination clinic at Booragul today. The clinic is being held at Lake Macquarie High School (16 Marmong St, Booragul) from 10am to 1pm. Everyone aged 12 and older is welcome. Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Just bring a mask with you along with some ID and your Medicare card.

¿ TESTING: Testing remains a really important part of our battle with Covid-19. Please don't be complacent. If you experience any symptoms, get tested as soon as possible.
