83 NEW LOCAL CASES COVID UPDATE - 11.10am Wednesday October 27 For the third day in a row, the HNE Health district has recorded the highest number of new cases of any health district in the State. There were 304 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours. with 83 of those in the Hunter-New England health district, including 7 in Lake Macquarie. These new cases take the total number in the latest Hunter outbreak to 2811. We now have 23 people in the region being cared for in hospital, with 5 in ICU.
