As you may have heard in the media, Hunter Health is no longer listing low-risk casual contact exposure sites of less than 15 minutes.

I understand community concern on this but I'm comfortable with Health's advice for a number of reasons.

Firstly, there has been zero transmission of the virus in any of the low-risk casual contact sites previously named anywhere in the State.

Further, this new approach to listing sites is in line with all other health districts statewide.

Sites which have been exposed for longer than 15 minutes, or potentially have clear risk of casual and close contract transmission, will continue to be reported as usual.

Two such sites were named overnight at Mayfield and Newcastle West. More details on those here:

Anyone who attended the following venues on the specified dates and times are casual contacts (unless they have been contacted by NSW Health as close contacts) and must get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received:
¿ Mayfield Laundromat, Mayfield on
Sunday 19 September from 6am - 9pm
(attended multiple times throughout the day)
¿ Pharmacy Care, Marketown (Nctle West) on
Friday 17 September from 5.40pm to 5.55pm
A complete list of exposure sites can be found on the NSW Health website HERE.
