Update on vaccine cancellations

UPDATE ON VACCINATION CANCELLATIONS: I've been advised that the Government will be issuing a public statement shortly. I'll post it as soon as I get more information. Trust me, I'm as angry as you are right now. The vaccination rollout has been a joke and just continues to lurch from one crisis to the next. Can I please ask people to hold back on the abuse, particularly of Hunter Health staff. Like me, they were in the dark on this. The text messages have come from NSW Health and the Government. The abuse of staff at Hunter Health is misguided and needs to stop.

EARLIER: Have had a number of people contact me in the past hour telling me their vax appointments at the Belmont hub next week have been cancelled. I have not been Informed of anything by HNE Health so I’m as much in the dark as everyone else, and as angry as everyone else.

I’m chasing Hunter Health for some sort of explanation as we’d been told that existing bookings would not be affected by the redirection of vaccines to Sydney. Will let you know as soon as I know.
