¿ COVID UPDATE - Monday March 8
¿ Well done NSW! That's 50 consecutive days without a case of community transmission. Just the 1 new case among the returned overseas travellers in the past 24 hours.
¿ The Hunter Region has now gone 214 days without a locally-transmitted case.
¿ VACCINATIONS: As of yesterday, there has been 19,500 vaccinations in NSW, 14,400 in Vic, 8300 in QLD, 6900 in WA, 3600 in SA, 2300 in Tas, 1900 in the ACT and 1800 in the NT.
¿ NSW has started including returned travellers in its 'active case' numbers in line with other States. NSW currently has 56 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). There are 5 in Victoria, 30 in QLD, 5 in WA, 3 in SA and 4 in the ACT. The NT and Tasmania has zero active cases.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
