COVID UPDATE - Thursday March 4
The news remains good - no new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW for the 46th day in a row. There were 4 new cases among the returned overseas travellers in the past 24 hours.
The Hunter Region has now gone 210 days without a locally-transmitted case.
NSW has started including returned travellers in its 'active case' numbers in line with other States. NSW currently has 47 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). There are 7 in Victoria, 21 in QLD, 3 in WA, 2 in SA, 2 in the ACT and 1 in the NT. Tasmania has zero active cases.
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
