¿ COVID UPDATE - Monday February 22
¿ As I posted earlier, today marks 200 days since the last locally-acquired case in the Hunter-New England Health district. What an effort! Today also marks the start of widespread vaccinations in Australia. This program will be rolled out in the coming months and I'll provide regular updates on when you're eligible, and how you can get one.
¿ NSW recorded zero new cases of community transmission again over the past 24 hours, making it 36 days in a row. Just the one new case among the returned overseas travellers in quarantine over the past 24 hours.
¿ The number of active cases in Victoria is 25. There are 7 in QLD, 3 in WA, 3 in SA and 3 in the NT. Tasmania, the ACT and NSW have zero active cases.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
¿ Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
¿ Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
