¿ COVID UPDATE - Saturday February 13
¿ No new cases of community transmission recorded anywhere in NSW for the 27th consecutive day, and just 2 new cases have emerged among the returned overseas travellers in quarantine.
¿ NSW now has zero active cases but it should be remembered that the NSW ‘active’ figure does not include the returned overseas travellers because many of them are interstate residents. NSW Health is still treating 36 cases among those travellers.
¿ The Hunter-New England region has now gone 191 days without a locally-acquired case.
¿ The situation in Victoria appears under control despite the harsh lockdown measures and border closures from other States. There has been one new case of community transmission recorded there in the past 24 hours. Anyone who has visited Victoria since January 29 should self-monitor for any symptoms and get tested as soon as possible.
¿ The number of active cases in Victoria is 20. There are 7 in QLD, 7 in WA, 5 in SA and 4 in the NT. Tasmania, the ACT and NSW have zero active cases.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
¿ Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
¿ Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
