¿ COVID UPDATE - Friday February 12
¿ No new cases of community transmission recorded anywhere in NSW for the 26th consecutive day, and just 2 new cases have emerged among the returned overseas travellers in quarantine.
¿ The Hunter-New England region has now gone 190 days without a locally-acquired case.
¿ There is a possibility that Victoria could go into a five-day lockdown today, so please be aware of that if you have friends or relatives there, or had been planning a visit. The Victorian cluster has grown by another 5, but at this stage remains mostly contained.
¿ A reminder that restrictions have been eased on the Central Coast and Greater Sydney from today, meaning all restrictions are the same statewide. Masks remain mandatory on public transport and are encouraged in all other indoor venues.
¿ The number of active cases in NSW has fallen to just 3. There are 19 in Victoria, 6 in QLD, 8 in WA, 4 in SA and 4 in the NT. Tasmania and the ACT have zero active cases.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
¿ Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
¿ Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
