Just the 1 new case of community transmission recorded in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm, showing that things remain under control. That case is linked to the Berala cluster.

?? Just the 1 new case of community transmission recorded in NSW in the 24 hours to 8pm, showing that things remain under control. That case is linked to the Berala cluster. There were also 5 new cases among the returned overseas travellers.
?? As reported yesterday, the situation in QLD has changed and any local who has visited the Greater Brisbane area since Jan 2 is urged to isolate immediately, monitor for symptoms and get tested as soon as possible.
?? The Hunter-New England region has now gone 155 days without a locally-acquired case.
?? Please also remember that the wearing of masks is now mandatory if you’re visiting most indoor places on the Central Coast or Greater Sydney.
?? Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
?? NSW has 197 active cases (as at 8pm). Victoria has 40, there are 21 in QLD, 18 in WA, 12 in SA and 17 in the NT. Tasmania and the ACT have zero.
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
