Centennial Coal truck petition update
My thanks to everyone who has so far signed the petition against Centennial Coal's plans to truck a million tonnes of coal a year on public roads between Wangi and Awaba. More than 1000 people have signed in the past week.
While the petition is open for another week, you only have until 5pm tomorrow (Thursday) to make a submission to Planning NSW.
Links to both are below.
I'm strongly of the view that putting 62,400 coal truck movements on those roads every year is dangerous for motorists and the truck drivers, and that there are other safer ways for Centennial to move its coal. It’s not an anti-coal debate, it’s a debate about using common sense and making local roads safe.
