While everyone's battling to keep away from Covid-19, NSW Health is also asking people to get a seasonal flu shot as we head towards winter.

Remember that flu shots are free for people aged over 65, children aged between 6 months and five, pregnant women, Aboriginal people and those with high-risk medical conditions such as asthma and heart disease.

It's true that the usual flu season has so far been slow, due mainly to our actions on Covid, but the last thing we need is a big flu season which will further stretch the war-weary doctors and nurses in our health system.

Flu shots are available at most of our local pharmacies and GP clinics.
