Jack Arrowsmith

What began as a way to boost confidence and learn to defend himself against schoolyard bullying, has blossomed into a promising boxing career for 19-year-old Jack Arrowsmith from Uppercut Boxing Toronto. Last month Jack was named the NSW Orana Welterweight Champion, bringing home the all-important gold belt. The win marks a major step forward in his amateur career and positions him as a serious contender in the welterweight division across regional NSW. Jack has dedicated 11 years of his young life to boxing and has built a reputation for stepping into tough match-ups and taking on top‑tier opponents. He often features in headline bouts at local fight nights. Jack's passion for boxing began in primary school after his dad encouraged him to give it a try. Like many young people, he faced early challenges, but Jack says boxing helped him build discipline and commitment and support his mental health. I congratulate Jack Arrowsmith on this outstanding achievement, and acknowledge the support and encouragement provided to young athletes by the team at Uppercut Boxing Toronto.
