"There is no option, but to move forward". These were the words Chloe Parker would quietly repeat as a teenager, facing illness no young person should have to endure. At 17, while studying at TAFE, Chloe was diagnosed with SLE Lupus, Lupus Nephritis and Antiphospholipid Syndrome. Serious, incurable autoimmune diseases that would forever shape her life. Despite relentless treatment and declining health, Chloe completed high school and began a chiropractic degree at Macquarie University. In 2022, at just 21 years of age and while still a student, Chloe suffered a near-fatal stroke, leaving her with an acquired brain injury and months of rehabilitation, including time in a wheelchair. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary. Chloe returned to her studies and channelled her energy into helping others. As Student Representative of the Australian Chiropractors Association and Student President of SOTO Australasia, she advocated fiercely for her peers securing funding, improving access to education and mentoring fellow students. In recognition of her leaderships, Chloe received the prestigious ACA Special Recognition Award in 2025. Chloe continues to give back, just last month she opened a wellness practice in Cooranbong, supporting her community.
