The Electorate

Map

The State electorate of Lake Macquarie stretches from the northern suburbs of Cardiff South and Argenton, wrapping around the western and south-western reaches of the lake down to Wyee.
It covers only part of the local government area of Lake Macquarie. The main commercial centres are Toronto, Morisset, Speers Point, Cardiff and parts of Warners Bay.
Residents of Lake Macquarie enjoy a relaxed lifestyle and the convenience of proximity to Newcastle and Sydney. The electorate’s localities range from dense urbanised areas in the north to rural settlements in the south and west, with a string of interconnected townships bordering the lake.
The electorate is spoiled for natural attractions, with beautiful Lake Macquarie at its heart and large tracts of bushland throughout, including parts of the Watagan Forest and Sugarloaf State Recreation Area.

The suburbs and towns below fall either wholly or partly into the Lake Macquarie electorate.
