New vessel for Lake Macquarie Marine Rescue

28th April 2019
It was a great privilege to be able to represent the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, the Honourable David Elliot, at the commissioning of the latest rescue boat for Lake Macquarie’s Marine Rescue service.

It was a great privilege to be able to represent the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, the Honourable David Elliot, at the commissioning of the latest rescue boat for Lake Macquarie’s Marine Rescue service today.

Congratulations to and thanks to all the Marine Rescue NSW volunteers.

It was a fitting welcome to this wonderful vessel named after a stalwart of the organisation, Neil Grieves, who passed away after nearly 40 years of service. Neil's family members in attendance were rightly proud.

Clan McEwan Pipe Band added greatly to the ceremony and it was wonderful to be there alongside my Parliamentary colleague Yasmin Catley and Lake Macquarie mayor Kay Fraser.
