Varroa mite detected at three more properties

Unfortunately, the varroa mite has now been detected in three more bee hives outside of the original Newcastle eradication zone, in Newcastle, Seaham and Bulahdelah.
This means the current eradication boundaries have changed but at this stage they do not change the current purple ‘surveillance zone’ in Lake Macquarie.
