¿ Regarding the huge spike in today's case numbers (both statewide and local), NSW Health has advised that due to a data processing issue, about 10,000 positive RATs registered on Sunday 13 March and Monday 14 March are being reported in today’s numbers, artificially inflating today's figure.
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 38 (Up 9 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 3 (Stable)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 1016 (down 16 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 36 (down 2 since yesterday, 15 requiring ventilation)
¿ New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 883 (up 2330 on previous day's figure, 736 PCR + 2477 RAT).
¿ New cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks: 2467 (up 87 on previous day).
¿ New cases statewide in past 24 hours: 30,402 (up 19,713 on previous day, 7654 PCR + 22,748 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 5 (Down 1 on the previous day)
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 0.
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.9% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.5% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 57.4% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.5% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 79.1% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 48.5% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
