¿ BREAKING NEWS: RESTRICTIONS EASED FURTHER
¿ 64 NEW LOCAL CASES
¿ There were 173 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, with 64 of those in the Hunter-New England health district and 17 in the Lake Macquarie LGA.
¿ Sadly, a man from Newcastle was among the four deaths recorded statewide yesterday.
¿ OF THOSE NEW LOCAL CASES:
¿ 17 are from Lake Macquarie LGA

- 1 from Belmont North
- 1 from Cardiff South
- 1 from Caves Beach
- 1 from Cooranbong

- 1 from Whitebridge
- 1 from Windale

¿ 18 of the total active cases are currently being
cared for in hospital. 4 are currently in ICU.
¿ 44 cases are linked, 16 are unlinked, 4 are still
under investigation.
¿ 41 were infectious in the community. 19 were
isolating while infectious. 4 are still under
investigation.
¿ STATEWIDE:
- 93.6% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 87.8% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
In the past 24 hours:
- 58,988 tests
- 173 new locally acquired cases
- 0 new overseas acquired cases
- 173 total new cases
- 333 people in hospital
- 72 people in ICU
- 4 deaths
¿ BREAKING NEWS ON RULE CHANGES: The Government has announced a further easing of restrictions which will take effect from next Monday, November 8. They include:
increasing the allowable capacity limits at hospitality venues from one person per 4sqm to one person per 2sqm;
no cap on the number of fully vaccinated people visiting a home;
stadiums will be able to have 100% capacity;
indoor pools will reopen for all purposes;
play centres will reopen; and
outdoor gatherings of vaccinated people will be uncapped.
¿ UNVACCINATED TO STAY IN LOCKDOWN UNTIL DEC 15: Despite the changes mentioned above, restrictions for unvaccinated people now won't be eased until Dec 15 (previously December 1), or until the State's full vaccination rate hits 95%.
¿ VACCINATION RATES BY LAKE MACQUARIE POSTCODE: More than 91% of people aged 15+ in Lake Macquarie are now fully vaccinated which is great news. I have a breakdown by vaccination figures by local postcode on my website HERE.
