¿ There were 283 cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, with 62 of those in the Hunter-New England health district, including 22 in Lake Macquarie. These new cases take the total number in the latest Hunter outbreak to 2355.
¿ Sadly, a man in his 40s from the Maitland LGA has died in Maitland Hospital with COVID-19. He had not received any doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

¿ 40 were infectious in the community. 23 were isolating while infectious. 3 are still under investigation.
¿ STATEWIDE:
- 92.3% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 81.6% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 88,664 tests yesterday
- 283 new locally acquired cases
- 0 new overseas acquired cases
- 283 total new cases
- 552 people in hospital
- 124 people in ICU
- 7 deaths
