NEW CASE IN MINE / TREE LOPPERS FINED / EXPOSURE SITES
Covid update - 9.30am Friday September 3
A couple of quick things to update you on.
MINE CASE: I was advised this morning that a person working at the Mandalong mine near Morisset has tested positive to Covid-19. The worker lives in the Newcastle area. All contacts of the worker are being tested and are isolating as per usual practice and Centennial Coal is undertaking a deep clean of all related areas.
TREE LOPPERS FINED: The tree loppers from Sydney I reported yesterday have been fined a total of $33,000 by police for breaches of the travel and mask rules. Sadly, the potential damage caused by these guys may be already done. We'll wait and see..
NEW EXPOSURE SITES: HNE Health has named a number of new exposure sites in the past 24 hours. They include sites at: Charlestown, Charlestown Square, Whitebridge and Shoal Bay.
