COVID UPDATE - Wednesday April 7
No community transmission in NSW for seven days, and it's now 244 days since the last case of community transmission in the Hunter-New England health district.
You've probably heard a lot about the delays in getting vaccines into Australia and clearly the Federal Government needs to be doing a lot more to get that sorted. Regardless, there were a further 6984 vaccinations in NSW yesterday, bringing the State's total so far to 134,323. You can check eligibility criteria here.
NSW currently has 47 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). QLD has 73, Victoria has 1, WA has 18, SA has 9 and the NT has 6. The ACT and Tasmania have zero.
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 of those in NSW.
